I have to remove my gas tank to finish my shakle flip. Other than getting it empty any other tips, I would like to just let it "hinge" out of the way. Do I have to unhook everything form it to do this? THANKS

I just loosened mine up and let it hang. Make sure that the fill tube is still attached correctly when you finish.
The amount of work to let it hang versus unhooking the lines and setting it aside was not much different.
I just did my shackle flip on Saturday and removed the tank all together. It was easier for me to do it that way. Personal preference. Watch the ground wire coming from the tank if you remove it. Be careful not to break it off.
Check your rear body mounts while the tank is out. Good time to replace rather than pulling the tank a 2nd time if they need replacing.
