if I ever track down my missing tools, I will finish my disc brake conversion on the 14 bolt.:D:D

I found an old post here with the part numbers for the brakes and calipers and rotors and stuff, but do any of y'all have part numbers or descriptions of any seals or gaskets or stuff like that that I am going to need? also, what's the best oil to add to the diff and how much do you put in?

I am also going to be replacing the diff cover.

as you can tell, I have no idea what I am doing and this is my first try at working on an axle.

55350 is the felpro part number for the gasket between the axle flange and hub, I always replace these if they are old. never had any luck getting the hub sealed without one.

for the diff cover I always clean both surfaces with a flapper wheel and use rtv. never used a gasket and never had a leak.

I would also examine the wheel bearings and hub seal while you got it apart.

regular 80/90 is what I use. no special additives needed for detroit.
