Gator M1008 build

Build thread for Gator, my red 86 m1008. my "LockJaw"
If anybody wants specifics on anything let me know. Ive never done a build thread before so this is my first crack at it.

Update. The trucks been great for months, but it’s time for some maintenance and upgrades. I started by installing the ORD crossmember that’s been on the shelf for months, Which is requiring reworking the banks exhaust crossover. I also added hydro assist finally by way of a ORD custom spec ram and an ORD supplied tie rod clamp. I have a bunch of parts coming, this most important of which is the stuff to install an nv4500 and upgrade to 35 spline shafts, Eaton e locker and warn premium lock outs.

Don’t mind my leaky front crank seal‍ :doah: no matter how many times I fix it, boost on the highway blows oil out of it again.

I have an unplanned truck that’s being added to the fleet also, after I get it shipped across the country. This was my Dads 06 2500HD, when he passed away I didn’t know what to do with it, but after a lot of thinking it’s going to get some work done including a SAS and bumpers and sliders. But that’s for another thread

Oh I got used to mine.
It mostly marks it's territory and only needs a top off every few months. Although I am not sure if mine leaks from the top edge of the pan.
The turbo definitely doesn't help with mine

sounds like a solid build plan . :saweet:

and whats this sitting for months thing ? some of us have decades under our project builds sitting :deal::p

Same here, it might lose a half quart in between oil changes, but it sure looks like more than that! For me I think its high RPM+boost that causes this, Im hoping the nv4500 fixes the issue by lowering my cruise RPM.

lol! I can't let anything sit. Between ADHD and OCD nothing can sit un-finished for long LOL

These little security blanks that covered the bolts for the 8274 on the factory jeep winch plate SUCK. I ended up drilling them out, but then they were too soft to price against. Made a big mess of these.
