I have been searching all day trying to find the post where it showed how to paint up the gauge cluster to make it alot brighter. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Also if you can also give me your thoughts on this.

I have done this to every single truck I have owned, and it truely makes a phenominal difference in how bright your cluster is

What all did you paint? Can you give me some ideas of what to paint and what color. I am going to do two of my trucks tm with it. Also pictures would be awsome.

Take the guages completely apart take the white shell and the black/blue shell. Paint the inside of the white shell and the blue side of the black/blue shell. I used Bulldog adhesion promoter and Duplicolor Chrome paint frome Oreillys. Washed and dried both shell pieces and then applied the adhesion promoter to the areas to be painted and the followed with paint. I put about 4-5 coats of the chrome on each piece. due to the overspray of the chrome paint I got a good dusting of the chrome on the black side of the black/blue shell so I painted the black side flat black. Then reasemble. MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!

I've never bothered painting the black / blue shell, just the instrument cluster housing itself. I always take everything out (gauges, little metal clips & circuit sheet), pressure wash the housing, then paint with cheap chrome paint.

Re-assemble, and be ready to dim your cluster lights
