wondering if u can run a wire from back of oil and temp gauge to the oil and temp sending units? Sure there’s a thread on this somewhere it’s a 77 k5, believe the green wire is to the temp and a tan wire is to the oil? And if I can do this what gauge wire should I use?

No need to run it from the sender's, GM already did it. Just need to find the proper wire at the instrument panel connector, clip it, and join it (solder, crimp, whatever) to the wire you want to run to the gauge posts.

If you are doing the sending wire, you'll most likely want to do the power and ground wires too, since the factory connector and flexible circuit connection is a typical issue.

Have your gauges stopped working? Cause if its the stock temp sender, then most likely its the cheesy electrical connector on the sending unit itself. Mine is a 77 Jimmy and the temp and oil both work but the temp sender connector sucks and mine would always come off. Had to squish the crap out of it to keep the connector on the sender.
