Has anyone tried to install gauges into the section of the dash pad insert? Im thinking about buying some angling rings and putting the gauges there. I know under the padding is steel, and behind the dash is steel, but has anyone considered putting gauges there?

I'm assuming he's talking about above where my stereo is..

he'll have to deal with the double wall steel (holesaws'd prolly work, could prolly just hack a rectangle in the curved under steel with a cutoff). it should be clear of the hard heat duct, BUT that duct will also make it tough to get to the backside if need be...

heh..I was looking for that same site in my long list of favs but had to leave. Glad someone posted it

EXACTLY what i was looking for. It came out sweet, i just didnt want to put the gauges on the underside of the dash...

yes they are, i bought a set of the autometer angle rings....

guessing you dont have A/C or any duct work behind that dash panel insert, huh?
