Hi -
I recently picked up a 1991 GMC Jimmy which within the last 6 months had a 4' (All Springs) lift, new 15X10 Wheels, and new 35 X12.50 tires added. I'm not sure if the previous owner did anthying with the gears. Can I expect problems if there was not any adjustments to the gears? I have an upcoming roadtrip (about 250 -300 miles) highway.

I have a set of new 33 X 12.50 in storage as well as a set of factory 15X8 wheels. Am I better off putting these on vs the 35s?
Thanks
RJ

Problems? You will have less power, get worse mileage, and it's bad for your transmission.

Find out what gears you have.

Yeah, what he said. I would swap the 33's on for the trip just for the fact the trans won't be hunting gears so much. That is what will wear it out the quickest. And don't use OD in the city either.
