I took the cap for the sector shaft off my gear box to drill and tap it for hydraulic assist. Well I'm putting it back on and don't remember how many turns it took to get it off. Does any know right off hand? Or does anyone know how many threads show with the nut on?

adjust real light till just feel pressure on adjuster screw. then back off 1/4 turn and lock down.
old school gm tech told me that years ago.
if you put pressure on it it will shortin the life of the box. and if to much bye bye box.
