As much as you guys hate answering the retarded questions, I hate askin them., but I have no choice, searches came up empty. I'm peicing my xover stuff together and am at the gear box. I found a reman box at the junkyard for $25 off an '82 C30 454..

Question is.....Did chevy EVER chance the power steering hoses thread size from metric to Sae? I.E. My truck was built in canada EH so I have a few metric piece here n there.

I think its the same but wanna verify becuase I havent actually seen it with my own 2 eyes, a buddy put it aside for me and I'm not makint he trip unless it'll work.

the canadian trucks are the same as the american truck. as long as yours is a 81 and newer the box will work. the 81 newer have the metric hoses with the orings, the 80 and older have a SAE and flare fitting.

Trucks an '85, box will be from an '82

Why the hell did they change it all around? SAE just not workin? LOL

Even if the fittings aren't the same, I'm pretty sure you can just swap the sector shaft into your 4x4 box.

My 4x box is ****ed up, the main shaft is loose in the case so I'm gonna just get a new/reman and call it good. Makes a "popping" noise, lol.

Yeh pretty much all my steering is ****ed, only reason I havent changed anythinis cuz im goin Xover lol. "keeps fingers crossed"
