Well, guys, initialy, I was planning on buying Richmond Gears becuase that is what the shop who is going to be installing my gears really recomends. I know they are a great gear, but if I am not mistaken, they run around 160 a set for the ratio I want (4.56). I was also looking at Precision gear, becuase everyone says great things about them, I dont have the pricing for them on hand. But, what i was wondering about was the quailty of Brands such as Genuine Gear, it is the only brand that 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers carries. it is listed at about 130, and being a member of this site gives me 10 percent off there, which makes them 117 a set. Also Curiouse about the quality of Yukon Gear. The ones Randys Ring and Pinion sells chep, but speaks highly of. this is definently a budget project for me, but i also know in the world of gears, you get what you pay for... Help! Thanks,
Ike

I really have heard only one bad thing about Randy's, and having dealt with them myself, I think they are a good company. They seem to be everywhere, and with the one complaint I have seen, that speaks pretty highly. I'd hope and expect if they were selling crappy gears, it would be heard about. Maybe do some research online about yukon gears, see if anyone else has had problems with them.

Ok, well, I did find out from Randys that Yukon is actually their top brand of gear. I will probably go with them, but am still curiouse about other brands like Genuine Gear becuase i can get a great deal on them through 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers, but i am worried that they are a ggod deal becuase they suck... Any in put... Thanks.

Go with motive gears. They are a great company. We use them in low 8 second drags cars and hold up fine. We have used them in a few 4x4s with no problems.

No clue on them. Never heard of them either, doesn't mean they are good or bad. Sorry, my "experience" runs out there.
