I'm trying to figure out the gears on my axles on my 1979 Chevy truck C20 Camper Special. Does anyone know what they should be, or how I can figure out what they are?

Most positive way is to pop a cover and count the teeth.
Most likely you have 4.10's as they were extremely common in that era C20 but it's possible to have 3.23's / 3.73's or even 4.56's .

check for a little tab on one of the diff bolts, front or rear. if you have one it will have it stamped into it.
