I've had one of these for years. It is starting to leak past the seal and due for replacement. I can get a new one for $10-30 from many different sources.

But I'm wondering what else is out there for filing axles and similar applications?

I use this thing for everything and it’s super easy. Just pour the fluid in it, pump the handle or hook up the air chuck, and turn the valve on. That’s it.

I second the Motive Products suggestion. Everyone of their devices does exactly what it is designed to do with minimal fuss. The guy that started the company bought an old BMW which have crazy short service intervals for all the fluids but have the service ports in places a normal human can’t get to. Yes, all of their things are garden sprayers modified so you can build the exact same thing for cheaper. However, the quality of all the little parts of each product are much much higher than just about any home fabricator would have.

Their brake bleeder is great for bleeding or flushing brakes. Change the hose end and it is a cooling system pressure tester. The fill tank this thread talks about is great at what it is supposed to do.

That looks like a great option and I like that it holds a full gallon rather than just a few ounces at a time.

Not as versatile but use a bucket pump for gear oil since I have a 5 gal bucket of 80w-90

My brake bleeder came with a hose adapter that screws onto German master cylinders. Different ones have to be bought for other types. Including that stupid plate that gets chained around the GM master cylinder.

You have to buy the radiator adapter to use it for coolant PSI testing.
