They should be. The only difference I found in a single and dual was the pinion support was a little thicker on the outter edge and the inner support bearing was a different OD. The ones in question are an 85 single and an 88 dual. The gears were the same.
Ther gears are the same between SRW and DRW but there is a carrier break of 4.10-down and 4.56-up regardless of which axle. Keep in mind that you will have to reset-up the gears though when swapping them from one housing to another.
Even when swapping the whole carrier you will still need to reset-up the gears as the pinion support has shims between it and the housing and that is what sets pinion depth and you can't assume that the pinion support is the same between both axles.
