Alright, i am buying a cab and chassis 14bolt, not sure what gears, gotta be 4 sumthing cuz its in a dump body/plow truck. My 14bolt is a 1ton in my truck but the gears/bearings are blown up. Could I just unbolt the pinion and then whole carrier from the CC 14bolt and put it in my 14bolt without having to do all the shimming and measuring and such?

you have to do the gear set up if you switch them to a different housing. Why don't you put your brakes and hubs on the C&C 14 bolt, then you don't have to mess with the diff at all

i thought the issue with the CC 14bolt was the brake mount is welded farther back and wont work?
