trying to find me gear ratio on my ferd, i cant find it anywhere on the stickers on my truck... not on the door or glovebox.

Where else can i look on the truck to find out. and no i dont want to pull the diff cover for a while to count teeth. even tho i probably should just to change the fluid

chuck the front tires, then jack up the rear. mark the driveshaft and one bolt on the rim. then spin and could and you'll get your ratio!

i.e. if you spin your wheel 4 complete times and the driveshaft spins a total of 10 that means you have 4.10 gearing.

i think.

at work, cant do that in the parking lot...

kinda looking for an ID tag somewhere that might have it listed

It doesn't matter what a glove box door, or build sheet, or anything else says the gear ratio is if someone has changed it along the line somewhere. :deal:

The only way to find out what the actual gear ratio is is to pull the cover and count teeth.
