gear swap q?

I'm building up my 85 k-5.just a simple setup-4in lift,35s.it has 10bolts f/r w/3.73s.my ? is. what axle setup [10blts or D44,12blt]is cheaper or easier to swap gears.or put my 454 in and leave the axles in there? and no i dont want 8lug axls on this one.I all ready have a 76 k-5 with them and 38s

Not sure about cost, but i would imagine thay are all about the same $$ wise. As far as difficulty....they are all the same (10 Bolt, D44, 12 Bolt)
