Gearbox ID...

Hi! Please tell me, what kind of gearbox is in the pictures below! I suppose, it's a 4L80-E, but, I'm not sure! It have 17 bolt on the oil pan and an electrical connection on the right side.

I just pulled my 4L80E out of my 2000 K3500, and it DOES NOT look quite like that.

4L80e. That serial is the part number for the early design case.

Mine, is a 1991 K20/25 (V2500), and it have 4L80-E transmission (MT1 RPO code) and it look like this one; that's the reason which make me to presume it's this kind of transmission... but, like I said, I'm not sure and I need your help.

and its a factory 4x4 one.

the freeze plug at the 3 oclock position on the tail end of the tranny has no pin hole in the center for oil feed to a 2wd bearing .
