when my 79' blazer had 31's and stock gears it was quicker than most sports cars (450 horse 383 stroker) I now have 35's and a noticable power loss. Also have a 700r4 so freeway revs are about at idle. What do you guys think??

If you want a good combination of off the line power and decent freeway rpms, 4.56's will go well with the 700r4.
I see you have a pretty well built engine...most likely capable of maintaining high rpms. If that's the case, 4.88 will surely allow you to haul ass off the line and beat any car your heart desires. (at the sacrifice of having higher rpms while cruising)

what are your future plans? drag racing? mud racing? rock krawling? dune running?

If you are SURE 35's are the end of the road for you, 4.56 wold be nice.

If you are looking to go to 38+ in the future, save yourself the time, headache, and money and go with the 5.13's especailly with the OD.

And start saving your money for the $1000+ rebuild of the 700r4 that is INEVITABLE!!!

When my Sub was "little" back in 1989 (6" lift and 35" Mud TAs), with 4.56 gears, 454 & TH-400 it would routinely bury the speedo (100 MPH speedo) and keep on a goin!! How fast did you want to go?!?!? /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif
