My friend needs to know what gears I have in the rear axle so we can order a locker. How do I go about determining what gears are in the pumpkin? If I remove the cover are there any springs, or pins that will pop out? Please advise!

No springs or pins, just a gasket... count the teeth on the ring gear and divide by the teeth on the pinion gear.

Yep what he said. If you know they are original, there may be a tag on the axle or a decal in glove box.
