Ok right now i have 3.08 in the new truck and like the low rpm cruzin at 70+ but i can get another 10bolt with 3.73 for free. I have 3.73 in my 4x4 and like the take offs but idk if i want that tall a ratio in my 2wd Mabey a 3.55 but like i said i can get it for free. What should do? Its got the ZZ4 355hp 405tq so i dont want it to be too high in rpms cruzin due to it already liking gas. /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Thats a noticable jump. If your running 33's now you should be taching around 2200 at 70mph with 3.08's. With 3.73 you should be around 2660. Thats about a 550RPM increase. Thats a much better ratio to use. Wont bog the engine and reduces stress on the transmission.

I say do it /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Guessing you have O/D because the word new was in your post- 3.73s work great w/ about a 28" -30" tall tire & O/D. How about giving us some info so we know what you have to work with.

DOH by the new truck i meant the older truck but its new to me and looks Brand New...DOH ok yeah the 2wd has 3.08 and a crazy top speed on it but i dont really need top speed just 1/4 mile accel and cruzin. I love the 3.73's on the 4x4. I think i might go with 3.55 gear ratio for the GMC cuz thats a good middle gear has best of both worlds. Sorry bout that confusing first post. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
