not a big deal, first time i've done it though so kinda stoked. stripped down a donor axle and pulled the carrier, took off the ring gear, spiders and sides, and replaced with an aussie (that i drunk ordered one night a couple months back
)
couple questions tho...obviously i should replace the oil seals, gonna do ball joints too. what about spindle bearings? wheel bearings? if they look good should i just pack em and go? or since it's all apart go ahead and change them?
also, things like the carrier bearing caps, torque it down to 80lbs or just hit it with an impact wrench?
anyway, have had the blazer locked in the rear for about a year, never even been in a truck that was locked all around...can't wait to test it. this site has been beyond help!
