So I'm not really in tune with newer blowers for these engines. But I work with a guy that has one for sale. I have been toying with turbocharging my LS3 when I rebuild it. But might go with the S/C.

Not sure exactly what model it is yet. Won't be able to find out until Sunday. But he said it's their big boy charger with built in water to air after cooler.

Question is I guess, are they top shelf parts? I think I can get it for a good price too.

I know a few "shops" that install them and they seem like a nice package. Derek West runs one in his ultra 4 car and seems to have decent luck with it as well.

I don't know enough about them to say for sure but my impression is that Magnuson does have a nice product and I honestly really want to build a nice supercharged 6.0 to try as a tow rig. I think starting with a L92 or something newer and putting in a matched cam with the necessary bottom end stuff would be a great tow rig without the cost of a turbo diesel.

I also need to swap my cam anyways as it wiped two lobes already. And a lower compression piston would be good too. The bottom end is already stroked forged and studded. I'm good that way.

I know on the SS forum I'm on the Maggie's are pretty much the standard option for those guys. They buy and sell em used like hot cakes. I think for the money unless I got a good deal id go turbo. But there are plenty of builds that love them

See I think he has the Heartbeat unit. Which retails in Calgary for around 8k. I can probably get it for around 3k.

But none of that's confirmed just yet. Until he's home and I can see it.

Honestly unless you are running much higher then stock I would leave the compression ratio alone. The LS engines handle boost real well. I made the mistake of going to 8.5:1 on my engine. I could easily stayed in the 9's and been fine for pump gas.
