Seeing if I can borrow some knowledge off of you guys.

1 - Did my first oil change and tire rotation on The Tracker today only to discover some TLE monkey has apparently messed up several of the front wheels studs and lug nuts. Probably just spun the nuts on with the impact without first making sure they were engaged with the threads. The studs seem okay, if a bit deformed, but the lug nuts are all rather mushed. I've got them on now but want to get some new lug nuts.
Went to NAPA and the guy gave me the wrong size. Got digging around on their website and discovered this:
http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Detail.aspx?A=BK_6413262_0281407640&An=599001+102002+50014+2014001
They're correct but HOLY **** CHECK THE PRICE! $5.50 EACH! I need 20!:eek1:

Anybody know a good place online to get good quality, 1 piece lug nuts that aren't 2 piece pot metal junk?

2 - Where can I find out lug pattern info on various vehicles and which vehicles use certain patterns? Trying to figure out what my buddy's car has and then what else we can start looking at to grab aluminum and/or 15" wheels off of.

I've had surprisingly good luck buying lug nuts from various ebay sellers. No matter where you get them, sets are cheaper than buying individual nuts.

Advance can get Gorilla brand lug nuts. they have to be ordered, but they are much better quality and 1 piece. Whats your thread/pitch. I have a complete set from a foreign rig that I own. I'll send um to ya if they'll fit

Yeah, thanks for the tip. Found a place on Ebay selling a whole set of 20 for $11 plus shipping. I'm verifying that they are 1 piece construction.

Thanks man.

M12-1.25 (12mm and 1.25 pitch). They look like the ones in the NAPA link.

Anyone have any guidance on the lug patterns?

If some of the wheel stud threads are questionable they should be replaced also. Already weakened from cross threading and then put some new nuts on them may strip them out or worse, they could break off down the road.

Oh and IIRC Suzuki used either a 5 on 5 or 5 on 5.5 pattern. Not sure which but it was the same as 80s (up to 86) Jeep CJs pattern.

The studs look good. Not terrific, but not horrible. They weren't exactly cross threaded. I've dealt with that nightmare before.

The lug pattern I meant about my buddy's cars. 1989 Toyota Camry wagon. Actually, might as well learn about the other - 1998 Kia Sephia.
(Suzuki 4x4's were always 5x5.5" until 2006...not sure after the advent of unibody.)

Swap in my old 10 bolts and then your lug pattern is 6/5.5.

I agree with the purchase of a set over individual nuts. Peepboys used an impact on my wheel lock stripping it but they bought me a whole set of Gorilla nuts and locks.

Yeah, strangely the NAPA here had nothing for me so I bought all they had of an open ended cheap nut for now. Going to order the set I found on Ebay. Easily half the NAPA cost.

Do your 10 bolts have 4.88 or 5.13 gears? I'm at 4.62's now and wouldn't mind a little lower.:D

Yeahhhhhhh...thanks but I'll pass...m'kay?
