well I have a buddy that is a mechanic and is giving me the complete engine for $100. Since my K3500 already has a BB, this engine is going into the 86 Z28 camaro with a T5 trans. I am swapping the intake and all FI stuff for carburetion. I think im gettin an edelbrock intake for the vortec heads and it will match up nicely with my 1405 carb.i am also going with all new bearings and a new cam but i dont know what cam to use with the carb? Now my biggest concern is the fuel pump to use. I was thinkin of getting an electric one out of summit for like $50 or so. and then i should probably get a regulator too...or do I not need one with the electric pump? I think everything else will swap over...but my biggest concern was fuel delivery. also, where should the pump be placed? I was thinking near the tank but not sure. thanx for the help
