I'm getting Code 32. Both the EGR Valve and Vacuum Selenoid Switch are new. I am not getting a rich code, so what gives?

Any other symptoms? I also have a code 32 thrown in my '89. I've checked a few things but it runs fine, idles fine, no stumbling or anything else. Mine also will only throw the code if I am at hwy speeds for a period of time, 60 mph for several miles. Around town = no codes. From what I can remember on my research the egr is supposed to crack open and the map sensor is looking for that pressure change at the same time to verify the egr has in fact cracked a bit. If the map does not see the pressure change, it will throw the code. Could be either the egr or map.
As mine is running fine and no other symptoms, I'm not too worried about it right now.
Most of my research was here on CK5 and TBIchips.com, 3rdgen (camaro site) also has a bunch of good stuff as well.
Good luck on it.
Yes. You should have vacuum at the ERG when you rev the engine higher than idle.Is the solenoid supposed to send vaccum to the EGR when it is commanded by the ECM? This would mean that vaccum is coming out of the TBI and passing through the soleniod and into the EGR.

I read the article as well. It doesn't give a method for testing/diagnosing an EGR solenoid though? I have a similar problem to what is happening here but the reverse. On highway it runs fine. Even in stop and go for the first 30 minutes its fine Once it is fully warmed up it will occasionally drop the idel- then the idle jumps up and down 1-3 times, then stalls. I changed the EGR valve, TPS sensor and ignition module. The only difference is now when it stalls it doesn't trip a trouble code?
