Quite a bit of rust but should be a good restoration. The shop I'm using feels the doors need to be replaced and they want me to find doors. They really don't like aftermarket and I wanted to get some opinions here. What do you think? Is there a brand that I should look at if aftermarket is my only choice?

Thanks,
Joe

Go with a reputable vendor for the sheetmetal... I think Wes at Classic Heartbeat is considered a good one, and there are a couple others. Yes, almost everything is made in Taiwan now, but the quality still varies and some shops seem to have consistently better stuff.

Secondly, steal parts from the original doors before you trash them.... Like the reinforcement plates around the latch. The repros never come with those. My advice would be to save the originals until you KNOW you've got all the parts you need.

Post some pics too! It kind of a rule.... :deal:
