Well guys Im getting closer to starting my build. I spent last week getting the CUCV ready to go to the shop and getting everything I had here ready to go. Today I spent several hours gutting the wiring, puter, tank and lines out of a rolled 88 K5 I picked up.
This is gonna be a bugget project for sure. The Blazer is a 85 CUCV with 44,000 miles that had been converted to a small block. When I got it the motor and trans was gone, but the body was in pretty good shape. I had planned on building a 383 for it, but as luck would have it I ended up running across a low milage TBI 454 complete with all the acc and computer. The donar vechicle is a 88 K5 that had been rolled and sold to a buddy for the motor/tranny. After my buddy got what he wanted I got what was left to haul off. Heres where Im at so far

1. 85 CUCV...250.00
2. TH400...375.00
3. Tranfer was in the CUCV
4. 96 TBI 454 Complete...650.00
5. Labor to install motor/trans/transfer...250.00
6. Labor to wire up the puter...150.00
7. Parts to install motor...???
8. Tank w/pump, Lines, Wiring harness out of 88 k5...Free

Like I said so far I think Im doing pretty good. Im paying a buddy to wire up the puter after the motor is in and my buddys brother said he would do the motor for 250.00 so, its all thiers now. I was gonna do the motor, but for what its costing me I just cant bring myself to do it. Ill try to get before pics up sometime this weekend. This will be my first BBC so Im really jazzed!!!
