My truck hops like a hooptie lowrider with bitchin’ hydraulics. The only problem is, I don't want it to. Fortunately, it only happens when I go around a turn. Straight lines are no problem at all.

Seriously though, can anyone tell me what causes this, and maybe how to fix it? It's a 76 K5 with an NP203. It feels like the normal grabbing/hanging that I’ve experienced on every other 4WD, but this time really acting up badly. It’s so severe that if I turn the wheel all the way to one side or the other, the truck comes screeching to a stop altogether.

It’s done this a little before, But not badly. I just took it out of storage, where it’s sat for two years. Where do I start?

Thanks.

Sounds like the T-case is in the Hi-Loc position and you're getting a bind condition.
