when i'm driving down the road and let off of the gas i get like a slight grinding kind of noise.and ony know what it might be?

Where is it coming from? rear... middle or front of the truck? Most likely I would say bearings in the rear end (mopst likely pinion, but maybe carrier). This can also sometime because by worn u-jt's or a worn CV jt, tcase, or even sticking brakes.

If you have the factory posi (Gov Loc,I'm told), then the next sound you will probably be hearing is a loud "thunk!" and the sound of screeching rubber as the rear end locks up. I just had the pin from my posi come loose a couple of weeks ago. Before the locker went out, the rear end had a gear whine coming from it. The guy I bought the truck from said that posi's always make that noise, and I was ignorant enough to believe him. Thank God I was only doin' thirty when that rear end cut loose, or.....Well let's just say I don't want to think about the consequences.

Try putting in a bottle of GM posi lube.

You need to tell us where the noise is coming from. I had a grinding noise coming from my blazer when i let off the gas. It turned out to be a worm sleeve in the T-case. Cost about $250 to get it rebuilt. It had 170K miles on it.
