I assume this is the fancy name for the oil pressure sender unit, because the description from ACDelco describes it as "SENDER ASM-OIL PRESSURE". My oil pressure gauge on the dash isn't working, and when I bought the K5 I found this part in the middle box. I put two and two together and I bet the previous owner bought this but never installed it. My question is, where is the oil pressure sending unit located? I've brought it into work and the rest of the guys at the firehouse are stumped on where it may be... CK5 community help me:bow:

I believe it is on the very back of the block between the firewall and block to the drivers side of the distributor. it may be buried under a pile of cruise control crap if so equipped

If you haven't swapped it yet, you might test the wiring first.

Ground the sending unit wire with the key on, the gauge should respond. Now remove the wire from ground and the gauge should go the opposite way. The needle should go to like 3 and 9 o'clock.

Not saying the sender isn't bad, just not worth swapping if it's not the problem.
