Finally got my new great lakes offroad diff cover installed on my D60. This thing is a beast...

here is what it looked like new...

I used a wire wheel 'n' flapper to get 'er down to bare steel and then painted it with gloss black engine enamel. Bolts are stainless steel allen head cap screws. Almost bling. The cover has all the options GLO offers. extra 1/2" plating over the center, and counter-sunk holes for the bolts.

.... there is even room to shave the D60 housing a bit below the cover, just like GLOs ff14b cover... very shave-friendly. The fill plug uses the same size allen wrench (5/16") and is also protected by a 1/2" thick ring of steel. Pretty much crazy overkill in every way.... just the way I like it.

with a total thickness of 3/4" in the center, this bad boy could prolly break the Rock of Gibralter, let alone any pittley little rocks I'll find around here. :D Anyway, GLO is a ck5 vendor and I highly recommend their stuff. I wouldn't matter if I was cause I don't blow smoke and BS people, but I ain't affiliated with GLO in any way... just a happy customer who wanted to share. :) :thumb:

Nice, real nice. I like the contrasting paint job, rust and black. Makes the cover stand out and say "Im new, and looking for a mall".:haha:

making my D60 "look pretty" is way, WAY down the priority list. Yes, at some point it'll probably get cleaned up and painted so it doesn't completely rust away... but for the time being, it can wait. :) I need to grind some stuff off the housing and weld on a new hydro ram mount anyway... so making it all bling now wouldn't make much sense. Thats also why the tie rod is gray primer and not blue like the rest of the bling parts... need to weld new hydro tabs to it yet.

anyway, lets stay focused. GLO rocks. :thumb:  :)
