I just bought my first Jimmy. It is a 72 model. I found the info card on the glove box door. Where can I go to find information about all the codes listed and what the truck originally had from the factory?

Search for "rpo code". I've seen the codes here but also google for them.

OKay, I have figured out all but 2 of the RPO codes for my truck. The 2 that I need help with are:

RM1 - H78-15-8 on-off roa
694 - Parchment Trim

Any ideas?

My guesses, original tire size & type and wood grain trim?

I had a buddy come look at it last night and he looked at the seats and said that it was the CST package just based on the seats. Any idea how I find out if it was. I probably wont restore it back to CST specs but I am trying to find out as much info as I can on the truck.

Way, way, waaaaay back I had a '70 K5 and it had CST emblems on the doors right under the windows.

I had a '71 CST K5 back in the 80's...it had "CST" badges on the doors, and the seats and door panels were different design than my '72 K5 Cheyenne model had,it also had a tach dash too, which was worth as much as I paid for the truck then......the center console has a CST badge on it also, and had round cup holders instead of the rectangular ones my '72 had...

Wish I'd hung onto that one,it had a SM465 and I only paid 300 for it because the former owner was disgusted with it,after discovering someone installed a 3.08 rear axle, and the original axles were 3:73's and it wouldn't move well in 4wd!..I stumbled across it only weeks after I went thru 2 weeks of agony converting my '72 to a 4 speed from a TH350,which cost more than that in parts alone!....:doah:..

I have a 1947-1972 GM truck parts book I bought they used at GM parts counters back in the day that may have RPO codes listed,it has things like axle codes and trim codes listed in it...if I can be of help I wont mind looking up any ..

Wow. Thanks for all the great information everybody. I have been looking all over for some of this and could never find it.
