Glove box lock removal?

[80 Chevy K20 4x4]

How in the heck to you remove the glove box lock to replace it? Just what are the steps to get it out? I need to know ASAP so I can get it done by first thing in the morning.

theres a little paperclip hole in face of the lock, same deal as with the 72 older truck and 79 older van ignition lock cylidners

use that hole.. this is what it is there for,,

if its the key kind then you need the key too,


if you dont then youll never remove it in one piece

i remember there bea=ing a spindle nut kind of thing.

should just unscrew. thats the way mine was.
