Glove box

Who designs a hinge out of plastic? I broke the glove box hings today, has anyone else? How did you fix it? After looking at it, its all one piece that bolts to the outer door, and i'm sure its not cheap. Let me know if you have any ideas on a fix.

A small length of stainless piano hinge should fix that up nicely. It's basically the same thing as the plastic crap...but stainless./forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Samething happened to me just yank one out at the junkyard if not the same color out side take out the inside piece and bolt it in!

I just grabbed one out of the boneyard a couple weeks ago, cost me $5.00 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mine is from my (may she rest in peace) 81 suburban, too quick a part to change to bother with a new one.
