The data sheet in the glove box, is there a code or does it say if the rear axle had a posi? Looking for a 14 bolt posi at a junkyard thought there might be a quick way of telling if the truck had a posi, instead of hoping underneath and checking for an axle ratio tag. At this yard the vehicles are sitting on the ground so just roating the tire is not an option. Thanks!!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Rotating a tire won't work (well, if you spin it fast enough it can) with a gov-lock anyways (G80 for most trucks) so you aren't missing out there. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

takes 100 rpm spin of one axel to make gov lok unit lock shafts,

you wouldnmt want a gov lok axle anyways

good luck

Which fenderwell? Where? I have no sheet in my glovebox and figured the PO must have taken it off!

Little late, but isn't it GT80? I could be wrong.

If it is on the fenderwell you'll see it on top of the fenderwell when you pop the hood. I think it's on the passenger side.

IIRC, I have seen them on the drivers side. I see lots of them at junk yards but I am not 100% sure what side it is on.

Better check both side /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
