I have an 84 6.2 that has the ultra craptastic GP controller that is apparently very unreliable and uber expensive. I do want to keep the controller functionality and would rather not go manual (it is manual now and working fine). This is because the wife does ocationaliy drive the truck and want things as simple as possible for her.

That being the case I would like to upgrade to the newer controller for the 85 - 94 vehicles. I am open to other more reliable suggestions (besides manual ;-) ) if they exist.

I can source the controller/relay but I can not seem to track down the connector that pluges into the controller. I have scoured the junkyards localy with no luck finding a used one. I have searched the interwebs but aparently my search-fu is weak.

Does anyone know where I might be able to source a connector?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers,

Rufus

If yu want replace your original with a good used one I have a spare that I will not be needing anymore I paid big $$$ for it then but now it just sits here so it's yours if you want it for $45 shipped.
I am guessing you have the round one right?
I was trying to find them new and only the dealer could order them for me and wanted $180, so I went to a junkyard and the guy said $75
I ended up getting another truck with the 84 engine but I am selling it now so no need for a spare.

Thanks for the offer iceman but the track record I have had with the round version has been less than desirable. I think I would rather convert and get some better reliability rather than having to carry a spare around.

Cheers,

Rufus
