Friday night my Blazer wouldn't start . So when I was cranking I was getting smoke so I know I have fuel . So then I checked my glowplug wiring and juice was going to those . So I figure my Glow plugs are bad . Been hard starting for about a month or so . So I pulled a glow plug and hooked it up to a 40 amp charger and no heat ? Is there another way to check them or is that a good way ?

Try putting an Ohm-meter on them, should have have about 1 ohm between the terminal and the threads. They pull about 200 watts each, so your charger may not give you enough current to test them that way.

I test mine in the truck
i just unhook the green wire
then hook up your GOOOD QUALITY test light to the positive terminal on the battery then i touch the prong that the green wire plugs onto
if my test light comes on i know the glow plug is good if it dont it is bad
simple :-)
Hope it helps
