So I just replaced my old glow plugs with some AC60's and have a few questions. First will they heat up with only 11.33volts, that is the reading Im getting with all of them? My batteries are at 12volts. Second how long do they take to heat up? Im running a manual switch so how long should I leave them on for and how long is too long?

11.33 volts is plenty enough to get them hot in a real hurry. I usually glow mine for between 10 - 20 seconds depending on how cold it is outside. The factory glow plug controller turns them off a bit too soon without a resistor installed on it to keep them on a bit longer.

AC Delco 60G glow plugs are self limiting, and do not swell as a result. Unless they suffer a catastrophic failure internally, you cannot leave them on too long. That said, I wouldn't leave them on longer than 30 seconds though.

Can you mix glow plugs? I just checked all mine with a test light, 2 were bad. I picked up some 60's at Napa. When I pulled the bad ones (neither was swelled thankfully) one was a 9 and one was an 11. That 9 must have been original! That sort of makes me want to do them all or at least pull the rest and see if they match.
