Glow Plug relay help

What is the best glow plug relay for doing manual glow plugs? Im going to pull my controller b/c it doesnt seem to be working right and just do full manual glow plugs, should I keep my old relay or maybe a 70's? ford one??? Also does the controller control the cold start fast idle?? BTW this is all on a 85 m1008. Thanks

The stock relay for a 1984 Pickup/Blazer/Suburban works very good. Looks somewhat like a Ford starter relay.

What Kenny said. Or use a Ford starter solenoid - I'd personally choose whichever's cheaper and available at the parts store near you.
