So I parked my truck in the garage today and noticed a fuse with what looks like an LED glowing. What is this? Does this mean something is shorted to ground? It was hard to read the fuse block due to how old it is, but looks like its for the horn. I have not noticed this before, but I did swap steering wheels tonight to a 91 suburban wheel, and left the wire disconnected but well taped up (horn doesn't work anyway) since the spade was different. Picture in a second. :(

id be in a hurry to disconnect the power from that circuit, or ground just make it open. it would suck for your truck to burn down

OK, so I pulled it, it is a 20 amp fuse for the horn, fuse was blown, I guess its some sort of indicator fuse that will use the short to light the LED so you know there is a short. I will start trouble shooting this weekend and find where its getting ground. Never seen one before...... weird. I planned on looking into the horn not working so two birds, one stone as they say.

o now i see the pic for it, i thought you meant like glowing hot but yea that looks like some kinda indicator light or something.

Never heard or seen of a fuse like that before, kinda cool if you ask me though (as long as it doesn't kill a battery over night).

Hahahaha, I knew it wasn't a glow from a hot wire or I would have had BIG problems before I noticed what looked like a dome light on my feet! That smoke is a MOFO to get back in the wires.......

It was an LED so it would have gone for a LONG time. I think its cool also. I can plug it in and start disconnecting and moving wires until I find the short when the LED goes out, brilliant! I will have to make a longer one with leads to reach the dash so I can see it!

Because Steve has said in the past no gun related stuff in the open forums pics included.

Yeah...sorry dude. put that pic up in the shooting range forum and it's 100% A-OK.

The reason is due to the Google ads and stuff. Anything 35%, or firearms related can be an issue for advertisers, which leads to inhibiting income for Steve.

Well I can't speak for Steve, but I can't fault you for your mistakes, so you're okay in my book.
