I am getting a 14 bff and dana 60 for my k5. I wanted to sell the stock axles and recoup so of my money and was wondering what a fair price for my 10 bolts would be.I believe they are stock gearing, according to the tag in the glove box 2.73 yikes dont work great with 37"s the rear has a posi. anybody in socal have any ideas

they arent worth a whole lot...maybe you could get a couple hundred for them but some people end up giving them away
I got ~$40 for my 12 bolt and about the same for my front D44. Took me a long time to get rid of them too, I almost gave them away for free.
IMO, you'd be lucky to get $100 for stock 1/2 ton axles.

I wouldn't expect more than 50 bucks out of the rear mabey more for the front
might be able to pull $100 at the most in my area... the last 3-4 sets i got were basically for free. i just got a 8lug 10bolt and gave the guy 20 bucks cause he would be losing money on scrapping it.
i run them in my s10 blazer with 33inch boggers so i tear up bearings and ball joints here and there so i just save all that stuff.

at least 100 a piece, theres alot of worthwhile parts in that front end, nearly everything will work on a 3/4 ton front too.
theres lots of people who blow the rear 10 bolt out and dont want to convert to 8 lug. they will gladly pay 100 bucks for a rear end.
just because they are 10 bolts dont make em worthless.

You'd be lucky to find someone who needs one though. I've had mine for sale for a while and haven't even gotten any nibbles. The lack of demand combined with the fact that there are a lot of 10 bolts out there makes them hard to sell for any kind of good money.
I paid $200 a few years back for a set of 1/2 ton 3.42's, and felt it was a reasonable deal.
Really comes down to the ratio. If someone needs a 2.73, then they are probably willing to pay a bit more than someone that just needs pieces.
Front 10 bolts are ridiculously expensive in wrecking yards up here, $300+, typically $4-500.

only thing that sucks is they are 273s. way back when i bought my first set i paid $250 for a set of 373s. seems that most people breaking ten bolts are wheeling with big tires
I would say the front should be worth about 200 bucks if the brakes are in good shape and everything is fairly clean... find a buyer for the front, and then after they buy it, offer them $220 to drag the rear 10 bolt away for you.

I saw a dude bust a rear 10b out in Yacolt a while back taking off from a 4 way 
You won't be able to sell the set since nobody is looking to "upgrade" to 2.73 gears. The front might be worth something to somebody who blew theirs up. The rear probably is only worth the going scrap rate.
I tried to give away a 3.08 rear 10-bolt for about 6 months. I finally took it in for scrap.
A set with 4.10s could probably fetch $500 and even 3.73 is probably worth a few hundred. Lockers and LSDs will also make them valuable. But open 3.08s and 2.73s are hard to get rid of.
