Good question! Inquiring minds want to know!
A GM5 has a vertical wastegate assembly, and a more efficient compressor and impeller section. A 5 is truly superior to a 2, 3, or 4. The only difference between a 5 and an 8 is the wastegate bushing and arm assembly.
