Any advice on replacement clutch forks (0.795 FORK ASM., Clutch Release) part# GM 340278-1

there are a few replacement sources--I won't list them

1974 K5 with the SM465 and original bell housing and clutch pedal assembly (nonhydraulic)

also, advice on
  • throwout bearing
  • clutch pivot ball
  • offset bellhousing pins
all this is going to a shop but they want me to bring the parts

doing my homework, what else is on CK5 and elsewhere

Sorry I am no help on new parts, I always have a few extra used parts and I posted in your other thread how I made a new rod

back when the problem first showed up seven years ago: my father-in-law thought the carriage bolt approach was the way to go (I bought one and had it all ready) and I thought the brass acorn nut approach was the way to go--he was right
everything is getting taken apart for the throwout bearing so I'm having everything rebuilt from the rear oil seal to the driveshafts including transmission and transfer case: made it 45+ years how it is so it will last forever going forward given how few miles go on this K5 now
