Thats possible, not sure yet. More 4wd trailblazers and envoys out there than 2wd.

I'm pretty sure mine did have the removal bellhousing, I believe he is correct. You can likely put the 4200 bellhousing on a 2WD trans from the same era.
If v8 LS and save weight dont forget the truck 5.3 aluminum block version . There out there just need to look.
Gee my soon to be ex wife has our trailblazer (2wd) with an engine Larry and I shoved in it a few years ago. The trans needs a rebuild and you could gut the rest for scrap. Heck set the sob on fire for all it matters to me. I can ask if she wants to unload it. You just got to come get it.
The engine had way less miles than ours did she’s probably put 30k on it since. Fired right up the other day after charging the battery. Tranny slipped like mad moving it though.

I think it's a long series. Pretty sure it's a shop in utah. I've only seen a little on it.

Yeah, the market for snocats has kind of taken off to crazy highs. I think that there are more cabins being accessed in the winter and more backcountry skiing going on these days. Add in scarcity and the prices keep rising.
I would be willing to come get it, thats just the drivetrain I need. No worries if dealing with the ex is a problem. If the price is reasonable I could get the trans rebuilt and be sitting pretty good.
