im rebuilding my 60 and i have everything together but i hit a wall when trying to press the front wheel bearing seals in. so far i have destroyed 3 it seems like the seal is too big to fit into the hub i used a press and did it evenly. i bought 2 seals from 4wd factory and 3 more from napa i only got 2 left kinda stumped

please help lol:bow:

You need to have 4X4HIGH (SCOTT) help you. Don't know if he online now, but he will have a solution to your problem. I had the same problem today doing a disc swap and had problems with my bearings. He and a lot of other people will chime in to help you. Good luck.

What seal number do you have? I can look in my catalog and see if you were sold the correct seal and I can even get the proper dimensions for the seal.

I also remember chatting with you in the past and IIRC you are real local to me and if you brought it over I could definately help you with it. I have a hydraulic press in my garage and just about every tool imaginable.

Timken 471271 is the spare I have in the garage.

There are no snap rings for the Dana 60 hub wheel bearings. You are thinking of the 14B hubs.

i turns out i got sent the wrong seal and napa gave me the wrong seal too.
i went to a local shop and had them measure it they had the right one even tho i called them and they aid they didnt have it thanks for all the quick replys
