I've been searching for a long time now to find out what the "correct" booster plate would be for my 1974 Blazer. That led me down the road of GM Advertising campaigns.

Apparently vehicles did not ship with front booster plates on them, even though they were present in some photos as a new vehicle rolled off the line.

I would be interested in hearing from folks here who either bought their K5 new or have photos of when it was new and what booster plate did it have from the dealer.

I have whittled it down to the correct booster plate for a 1974 Chevrolet Blazer would have been this:

Although I have read it could be this one:

Since a dealer could have used any plate at his disposal it could also have been one of these:

I would really like to see you photos if anybody has any

I have two plates that say "Nothing Runs Like A Chevy Truck"...

Not sure if they were GM dealer stock or aftermarket though..
I have no picture but can get one tomorrow..

I feel like changing them to say:
"Nothing RUSTS Like A Chevy Truck"..:doah:..

that appears to have been be the 1985 Chevrolet campaign slogan

Yeah,I think they do say "Nothing Works Like A Chevy Truck"..been awhile since I looked at one ..
I see no pictures of them on google images.

I know I have one on the front of my Suburban, not sure if I have the other one still,it might be on my van,or I may have given one to my older brother, cant remember...I bought them at a swap meet decades ago, probably right around that era..
