GM NOS cb radio on eBay

Man those things used to be everywhere.
Back during the CW McCall days, just about every car maker offered a built in CB.
Usually tied into the stereo system. When the squelch broke, the radio muted.

Today, of course, its cell phones. Onstar anyone?

And most of them used a version of that controller.
The PTT switch, the channel readout , the microphone, and the volume and squelch knobs were on the control head.
You simply plugged it into a socket on the dash somewhere.

I still have the RCA version of that somewhere. It was stand alone. Everything was in the control head. Including the speaker.

It was really nice, I could stand on my tool box watching for deer, and use the CB and have all the controls at hand. If the dogs were getting close, I could turn down the volume.

Wonder what hole he pulled that starting bid out of?For a guy that doesnt know didly do about it he sure knows what he wants for it.LOL...Ill stick with my galaxy 99 a lot simpler.

I had two GM CB's,one I sold the "head" unit that went into the dash at a swap meet, the guy who bought it didn't want the other "box" that contained the CB guts that went under the dash and had the mike on it though..weird!..I told him it was a complete unit, and to take ALL of it,but he didn't want it..there was a language barrier so I just told him whatever!..

I still have the other one, that came from an 80's Caddy,it was all contained in one unit on that one, built into the radio chassis..it works fine other than it has one dead speaker, probably the output transistor on that channel got wounded from it having the right side speaker dissconnected in the car I got it from..I have that one and about 10 other CB's collecting dust around here!..
I fired up my Courier Centurion SSB base a few weeks ago for the first time in years..man,the CB channels are DEAD,you could actually USE one now and not get walked on constantly!..
