GM Security system

Still learning this K5. It has a factory GM security system that is bugging the crap out of me. I removed the pager auto start module, and would like to remove the entire system leaving only the door locks. Any ideas? Thanks Guys.

Your profile shows you have a 1984 Blazer, I wasn't aware GM offered a factory security system back then on trucks - especially with remote start. Got any pics? I would have bet money the system is aftermarket.

Gotcha, I'd still be really surprised if it was factory. My Blazer was LOADED but didn't have anything like that.

Never ever seen or heard of a Square Body security system either - gotta be an aftermarket setup.

Gotcha, that was a dealership installment item - that is to say an aftermarket item that was authorized and marketed as a “Goodwrench” name brand.

None came from GM with that installed - kind of like Autozones Duralast brand; it’s all labeled under one brand but supplied by the lowest bidder.
