I am in need to an accurate GM Service Parts Identification Label (SPID) for my 1974 GMC Jimmy.

I have been going back and forth with Roger at Gloveboxoptions.com.

Anyone order from him before and have first hand knowledge of the quality. He and I have been emailing back and forth and he has been great.

Yes. I still have mine but it is old and in need of replacement.

Roger makes a reproduction and I placed the order using all the information off my SPID. I am curious if anyone has ordered from him before. He said if it wasn't exactly right when I get it he would refund my money. So, it doesn't cost me anything by giving him a shot. Plus, he seems like a good guy based on the detailed emails he has sent.

I just ordered all of my labels from VinsLabel. I received an e-mail today that they are being shipped tomorrow. I will be glad to post the finished product when I receive them. It took about two weeks for production.

I have been dealing with Brian and he has been super helpful. One word of caution, their policy is you have to be a Automotive Shop or Dealership to have a label with the VIN printed on it. However, I sent a picture of my Title and that was sufficient. I take this as a great thing for protection of my vehicle.

@texarback here are most of the labels from my order ... I contacted Roger about making a Window Sticker from my original and he was not able to help me due to copyright laws. If you do not get the results you are looking for, I would give Brian a call at Vinslabel and see what he can do for you.

Here are the ones I should be receiving later this week.. He forgot to create my "Jumping Instructions" and I am having him redo my Service Parts Identification Label in Grey. I will end up purchasing both the blue and grey just to have them.

I wanted to have all labels redone (Inside and out) for the restoration of my 85 K5 ... I am pleased with what I see at this time.

Be sure to post pictures of how yours turns out.

Take Care

Any way he can make the font like the original, especially like on the SPID?

He and I talked about the blue that he uses and he couldn't guarantee that it would match the original as there are no originals in perfect condition to compare. So, that may be the only thing that someone could comment on. Also, the clear overlay that is used changes the appearance just a little but he said no one offers a different clear overlay - though, honestly I can't see a difference in appearance. I told him if someone could point out the inconsistencies then I want to meet them. LOL.

This is the next one I’m going to order.

I can find it but it looks like all the reproductions that "are perfect copies of the original" all have square corners.

Now that one looks like the original. :waytogo:
It even looks like it was made on a typewriter because the letters are have a non-uniform strike (darker on one side and faded on the other). Wonder how he accomplished that.
I have no clue but he said he did overlays with the originals and worked on the font size and spacing. Going so far as to mimic the "ghosting" of the lettering. I don't know if he has an original machine but whatever he is doing is a mirror image.

Once I get my reworked copy of my SPI, I may try Roger if it does not come close ... the other labels from Vinslabel I got appear to be a better reproduction.
