I just witnessed the death of a good dozen fullsize chevy trucks, what a tragedy!
if you ask me it looks like a back half pre runner style and then empty solid axle leaf spring front . 1 shot looked like not even a diff cover on the front.

this show left such an imprint on me as a kid that i have only owned Chevy trucks because of it. never knew anything else except the fall guy drove one. lol

They filmed most of the outside shots near my old house in Santa Clarita, CA. They used the old Saugus Speedway a lot (big dirt parking lot).

so many dead chevys.does anyone know how many died on that show for sure.i know over 300 chargers died on dukes of hazard.its cool to see them jump like that,but you know that every one of those big jumps just about broke that truck in half.

Yeah, I saw they used the mid engine one for most of the jumps.

Idk where I saw it but that mid engine truck was one of the first stunt specific vehicles every made. I have the fall guy first series. I loved that show as much as the Dukes and Airwolf. I even have the theme song on my Ipod.

I jumped my old 79 K10 one time, this truck was so rusted that when it landed the front cab supports (what little was left) on the drivers side collapsed completly and there was a 2" gap at the bottom, between the door and front fender, they were binding at the top. the rear bumper also broke a tailight out and almost got the other one.
To think that was my dd for 8 months kind of amazes me. I beat that thing so hard.

Sounds like my old S-10 blazer. Used to go haulin a$$ down the logging roads and jump off into the skidder trails. Got roughly 6' of air one time and broke the front left shock mount. Well actually it did more than break, it punched the shock up through the inner fenderwell. Drove home with the front tire rubbing inside the fender and holding onto the wheel for dear life. Friends dad welded it up and I promptly took it out and broke it again jumping into the college parking lot from the street.
I never learned and that sad little truck never quit.

I loved that show!!!
I still want to build a truck like that for a weekend street truck and to take to the dunes.
